ACERT ORGANIC is a private company registered under the Kenyan company laws cap 490. The organic certification is offered in voluntary basis to willing customers to promote trade and consumers confidence in organic products .we specialize in providing Organic Certification for products to ensure they meet the highest organic standards. Our goal is to facilitate commerce by helping businesses verify the authenticity of their organic claims, while assuring consumers that products labeled as organic comply with consistent, internationally recognized standards.

The application procedure
Submit your application
The ACERT certification application, for East Africa Organic Products Standards (EOAPS), guides you through the required organic standards and helps you describe your organic practices and meet the minimum requirements. Your application includes a one-time Ksh 5000 application fee.
We review application and EOAPS
ACERT certification specialist will review your application to assess whether you are ready to move forward with organic certification, and will let you know if anything is missing or if you need to provide more clarification. We will arrange your onsite inspection and determine your annual certification fees depending on your acreage or group membership ( see below)
Inspection
The purpose of the inspection is to verify that what is detailed in the EOAPS is happening in practice. All certified operations are inspected a minimum of once per year to ensure the integrity of your production. The inspector will submit your inspection report to the ACERT office for final review.
We review inspection report
ACERT certification specialists committee will review the inspection report alongside your compliance and accuracy. Our staff will let you know of any issues or requests for further information.
Certification decision
Upon successful completion of the review process, you will receive a letter from ACERT informing you of your certification status and any requirements for ongoing certification. Depending on the decision made by the ACERT certification committee, the applicant will be issued with a certificate and a trading schedule with a list of the certified enterprises, The farmer or the processor can therefore use the EAOPS (Kilimo Hai) mark on the packaging materials and ACERT logo .
Annual renewal contract and inspection
Each year your certification will be renewed and annual certification fees are due. To remain certified in good standing, every operation must be re-inspected annually and continue to update ACERT of any EOAPS changes, new labels, or other changes to your operation. Inspection costs are paid annually
